FOOD JOINTS IN AND AROUND NAHAN
Nahan is a quaint little town in Sirmaur district and is only 2 hours away by car from both Chandigarh and Nahan. If you’re looking for a quieter getaway during the weekend Nahan is a place worth considering. With a tranquil ambiance, pleasant weather, scenic drives and beautiful sunsets you will return back peaceful and relaxed after visiting this place. So if you plan a trip to Nahan what places should you eat at? Because let’s be honest every trip is incomplete without good food and fine dining. Café culture has been recently booming in this little town and there are many eateries worth your taste and money here. So here are some food joints or cafes that you can visit in Nahan.
Maggie Point, Shimla road –
Poshtix –
This is a new hip café with a cool ambience, dim light setting, comfortable seating and beautiful wall art. Here you can enjoy ravishing food in a quiet and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The interior designing of this café attracts you to this place and sets up the entire mood for this place making it different from the other food joints you will visit in Nahan. The café provides a wide range of choices in both food and beverages and almost nothing on their menu will displease you. Some of the most tried options off of their menu are momos, sandwiches and cheese balls.
Cheese N Flakes –
Kabira Restaurant –
If you feel like having the proper Indian lunch or dinner then this is the place for you. Kabira is a place apt for large groups or families because here you will find good items from Indian, Chinese, continental cuisines and a wide range of snacks all under one roof, leaving every single person on the table satisfied. Though the pizza and pasta might be better at other places, the Indian and Chinese dishes, the snack items and especially the chicken dishes are exquisite and will leave you full and satisfied. This restaurant is located in the market so while or after going to this place you can also take a stroll in Nahan market to take away the full experience of this town.
Dockyard Café, Jamta –
Overlooking the entire Nahan town from the summit of a hill, this café is worth the 12 km drive from Nahan town which is smooth and beauteous. This café has an air terrace seating with a view of the Nahan town on one side and Jamta along with the hills on the other side. The weather here is chilly and the evening views will leave you in awe. Having a cup of tea here with the cold wind blowing and a magnificent view of the town, more so after dusk will complete your trip on a high. Here you must try momos, cheese balls, and burgers.
Though it goes without saying this is not an exhaustive list as there are various other food joints and smaller shops that will provide you with good food and one or two signature food items, the ones mentioned are versatile and cater to a wider range of cuisines thus giving you more choices.
